AS1 is a new generation resin tape developed for applications requiring excellent mechanical and solvent resistance. It is the recommended ribbon for prints intended for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. AS1 is compatible with most synthetic materials and some matte and glossy papers. It can withstand temperatures up to 180°C (356°F) and has a black level of 1.8 (ODR). It also offers the best print head protection, like all Toshiba ribbons.
